Sleepless in VA Beach

Alright. To start off… this post is not about a romantic, comedy movie. I truly am sleepless. Technically, I should be sleeping more than just 4-5 hours a night. Somehow, I am managing to not fall asleep at work. Haha! I usually work between 3-11 or 4-12. I can come in whenever I want as long as I get my 8 hours in. So when I get home from work I usually update my site, but lately I have been slacking off. I try to get stuff half of the stuff uploaded a month ahead of time, but I fell off my schedule. So I am trying to recover that lost time. Rather than uploading, I have been redesigning. I was looking at Tiffany & Co. stuff and I really liked their site layout. I somewhat emulated it and I ended up loving it. The main difference is that I chose pink rather than the Tiffany blue. After coming up with the look I liked, I am updating the rest of the posts and pages so that it goes along with the rest of the look. I needed to update the older posts though. I have changed the way I used the categories and anything older than May 2007 are kind of out-of-whack.

Other than VA site redesigns, I also am doing site redesigns for work. So basically all day long I am looking at HTML and CSS (and ASP at work). It is funny because some of the things I use for my VA layouts, I use for my work layouts. It is nice because I do not really get burnt out looking at the same thing over and over. The only thing that ticks me off is browser support. I want to apologize now to the users that use IE6 or below. IE6 is the thorn on my backside. That browser is just hell to work with. There are numerous times where I think Gary has heard my frustration in the office. I am literally pulling my hair and just screaming at the computer. Ugh. I will be so happy when IE6 is no longer supported.

Okay. End that rant. I need to head out now. Something is developing here and I will discuss it later once the dust has settled. *Crosses fingers*

Boomdizzle & Nashty

A week or so ago there was a picture of Baron Davis and Steve Nash riding a tandem bicycle floating around the Internet. Now.. a video popped up on IBeatYou.com (I swear it is not a Rickroll).

Gary showed me the link and I tried so hard not to laugh here in the office. I have got to say… Nashy Nashy got some dance moves.

When you hear it, you knew what was coming up.

I do not know how most of you feel, but I miss having NBA games on NBC. Being an 80’s girl, I grew up with "Roundball Rock" blasting through my television’s speakers every time an NBA game came on. It is a shame that ABC decided not to use the song, but in a way I am glad that they did not. I am sorry, but I cannot stand their coverage. Ugh. I would rather watch/listen to the TNT broadcast. It made me wish that TNT was on basic cable so that the Finals could be on that channel instead. Plus, Inside the NBA is a great show.

Hana Kimi Fever

It has been a while now since I started reading manga/manhwa. I think the first manga I read (that was more than say.. 3 volumes) was Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [花ざかりの君たちへ (For You In Full Blossom)]. I downloaded the scans and then started buying the volumes released by Viz. Right now I think I have up to volume 11. I cut down on my manga spending after losing my job at the computer lab. I have not picked it up since I got my current one. I am just too lazy to drag myself to the mall. It is more like I hate going to the mall. Anyway. Hana Kimi is a shoujo manga about a girl going to an all-boys school.

L’Arc -and- Ciel

On Sunday night Gary and I decided to have dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We were talking about houses again and whether or not Gary wanted to rent or buy. We brought up the discussion of the possibility of raising our children (do not misunderstand — I am not pregnant) in this house. Somehow we started talking about naming the kids and Gary mentioned naming our boy “Hyde.” I said, “No, we are not naming our boy [Hyde].” And then the unthinkable happened. He said, “What about L’Arc~en~Ciel? Or how about if we had twins, Larc and Ciel.”
