Visualazn.net is an asian music rotation site. I started up this site because I wanted to share my love of Korean, Japanese and Chinese pop music. A friend of mine introduced me to H.O.T. back in 1999 and so this started the love affair. Since then I grew more fond of Japanese Pop/Rock, which dominates my music collection.

Part 1: Navigating the Site

Top Navigation Bar

  • Home: Brings you back to the main landing page.
  • Read Me: The section you are currently browsing. Explains everything about the site.
  • FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions. Feel free to email me if your question is not listed.
  • Downloads: Drop-down menu. Clicking on the actual [DOWNLOADS] link will bring you to a page that lists all the posts that belong in the “Downloads” category. The Drop-down menu will list other categories under the “Downloads” category. These categories include: [PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS], [PERFORMANCES], [KARAOKE VIDEOS], and [MUSIC].
  • Archives: Lists all posts.
  • Musilog: Store: Lists my music related purchases.
  • Korean; Japanese; Chinese: Korean, Japanese, and Chinese: Like the Download category, these links will bring you to a section that lists posts under that category. For example, if you click on the [KOREAN] link, it will bring you to a page that lists all the posts that are under the “Korean” category.

Footer Navigation

  • About: Provides a brief explanation about the site. It also lists my contact information and RSS Feed.
  • Links: The left column are links to other sections of the site. The right column are external links (links outside visualazn.net. The exception is the “…more” link which will bring you to my links section.
  • Meta: It is important to know that my site is XHTML validated.

Index [Front Page]

  • Latest Post: To the right of the HYDE (the main theme image) is the lastest post. Click on the title in order to view the full post.
  • Announcements: A brief explanation about site changes, etc.
  • Active Downloads: Shows the months that still have download links available.

Part 2: the Files

the Videos

  • Posts: One video will posted every day between Monday-Thursday.
  • Preview: Posts before May 2007 use six screenshots. Posts after May 2007 use a 30-second flash video.
  • Encoding: The videos are MPEG-4 encoded using Xvid. If you do not have the Xvid codec installed on your computer, then you maybe not be able to view the videos. Windows users can download the codec at Free-Codecs.com Mac users can use a QuickTime Xvid component and Linux users can use media players such as VLC. VLC is a multi-platform video player that I highly recommend using.
  • Download Options: Each post will have two download links available for you to choose from. The "Full file" link is hosted on several different free hosting sites. Each of those sites have a different set of instructions (I have a brief set on instructions in each post). The other is the "Split files" link which is dedicated to dial-up users. It also serves as a back-up in case the "Full file" link does not work.

the Audio

  • Posts: One album or single will be posted every Friday.
  • Preview: At this time there are no song samples posted.
  • Encoding: The audio files are MPEG-3 CBR (constant bitrate) or ABR (average bitrate).
  • Download Options: Each post will have a link for individual tracks and/or the whole album/single.
